The Studio Roeper Experience is a response to our increasingly disconnected digital culture, and an invitation to reconnect with the lost art of making beautiful things with your hands.

Join master craftsman Florian Roeper on this 4-day immersive journey, as we embrace the transformative power of craft to engage our senses. This experience offers an exclusive view into a world of exquisite materials, innovative techniques, and the design philosophy behind one of the leading artisan studios in this country.

For the past 25 years, Florian has designed and built bespoke furniture pieces and artworks for design connoisseurs, art collectors, and luxury brands around the world, including Louis Vuitton and Dior.

For the first time ever, he opens the doors of his Napa Valley studio to a limited group of participants who will engage in an unforgettable, intimate one-on-one apprenticeship with one of the great masters of our time.

This workshop is much more than just an exercise in materials and technique. We dive deeper, using craft and creativity as a tool to find our way back to presence and meaning. The very act of creating requires our full focus and attention — this is a rare opportunity to disconnect from screen time and deadlines — and to reconnect with the simple yet profound satisfaction of making something with your hands.

Florian’s calm yet focused approach is based in his firm belief that crafting is the most fulfilling form of meditation. You might also hear him say: “Screw yoga. Let’s make some sawdust!”

This experience will awaken all of your senses. The natural touch of wood grain. The industrious hum of tools and machines. The seductive aroma of walnut shavings. Between moments of focused creation, participants will enjoy the spirit of Napa Valley — shared meals, conversations, and an appreciation for the beauty and bounty of life.

Each participant gets to choose one project from a curated selection of Florian‘s original pieces: either an artwork from his Other Worlds series, or a Claro Walnut side table. See projects in slideshow above. All of the lumber used in the creation of our projects is 100% locally-sourced and sustainable.

By the end of the week, each participant departs not only with a finished Studio Roeper original artwork or table, but with a renewed sense of connection to craft, to presence, and to their human nature.
