Join master craftsman Florian Roeper in his Napa Valley studio on this 3-day immersive apprenticeship, where you’ll craft your own heirloom-quality Waterfall side table using rare, sustainably-sourced California Black Walnut.
For the past 25 years, Florian has designed and built bespoke furniture pieces and artworks for design connoisseurs, art collectors, and luxury brands around the world, including Louis Vuitton and Dior.
For the first time ever, he opens the doors of his Napa Valley studio to a limited group of participants who will engage in an unforgettable, intimate one-on-one apprenticeship with one of the great masters of our time.

This experience will awaken all of your senses. The natural touch of wood grain. The industrious hum of tools and machines. The seductive aroma of walnut shavings. Between moments of focused creation, participants will enjoy the spirit of Napa Valley — shared meals, conversations, and an appreciation for the beauty and bounty of life.
Each participant will build a Waterfall side table in Claro Walnut. This incredibly rare and gorgeous wood was sustainably sourced by Florian from wind-blown and dying black walnut trees all around the Bay Area— backyard trees from Mountain View to Napa Valley, and from Berkeley to Mendocino. The best part is… you get to pick your very own slab from a truly amazing inventory of Claro Walnut!
By the end of the apprenticeship, each participant departs not only with a finished Studio Roeper original table —valued at $3800 retail— but with a renewed sense of connection to craft, to presence, and to their human nature.
