DIVIDED LANDS Round w/Frame Base
Designed by Florian Roeper in 2004, the DIVIDED LANDS table has established itself as an icon of the Studio Roeper Collection. It is a work with global resonance, commissioned by Louis Vuitton and collected by private clients in Vienna, Paris, Riyadh, Hong Kong, New York and beyond.
The signature feature in this piece is a layering of geometric forms which create an abstract topography reminiscent of an aerial view of the earth. Evoking both a physical map and the landscape of the mind, this piece bridges the gap between functional furniture and fine art, anchoring a room with quiet, sophisticated elegance.
The surface is the result of a rigorous, proprietary process. Using acid to etch multiple layers of color and texture into zinc, Roeper creates a depth of patina and painterly complexity that no other studio can replicate. While the finish is art, the table is built for life—sealed with a high-performance lacquer that makes it durable enough for daily use.
